Increasing low self confidence and self esteem is something that many people feel would benefit their day to day lives.  It’s only natural for our confidence levels to wax and wane through the course of our lifetime, but sometimes certain situations cause our confidence levels to plummet.  Attending parties, giving demonstrations and company meetings are just some of the things which might be affected by low self-confidence.  Often, low confidence happens because we have  low self esteem.  People might think about themselves in a negative way and it’s often focused on their physical appearance.

Having low self confidence can make people feel anxious when they are confronted and other people can perceive them to be quiet and nervous.

In many cases, the environment we are brought up in can impact on our confidence levels. Negative incidents, constant critical judgement and even bullying can cause low self confidence in people, as can experiences later in life.

Left untreated, low confidence might cause further problems, such as social anxiety, depression, panic attacks and stress.  A person with low confidence will commonly find themselves in a cycle of negative thinking, convincing themselves that they are worthless.  Low self confidence affect large parts of our lives. It can affect things like our social life, how we interact with relatives and friends, job interviews and work meetings.

Thankfully, low confidence can be easily reversed in a relatively short period of time.  As self confidence begins to improve, so improvements in relationships, social and work life are felt and noticed.

Hypnotherapy and BWRT® therapy are some of the most effective ways increasing self confidence and dealing with low self worth.

A hypnotherapist would seek to change your perceptions and free you from negative thoughts, so that you can begin to adopt new, more helpful ways of thinking.  Hypnotherapists tend to seek out any underlying problems, and deal with things that might have been suppressing your confidence and ability to lead a natural everyday life.

Karen April Mills, an experienced hypnotherapist in Sheffield explains;  It is perhaps unsurprising that many people out there suffer from low self confidence and low self worth at some point in their lives.  It’s a common problem that numerous clients have been to see me about over the years. The good news is that we can help people to feel so much better about themselves and the world around them.
